Fetal Ultrasound
Fetal Ultrasound scan is a part of Routine antenatal scan and it is done during pregnancy to produce a black and white picture of the fetus on a television screen. It includes Dating scan, Nuchal Translucency (NT) scan and Anomaly scan.
Combined Testing
Combined Testing is done during second trimester to check whether your child has chances of suffering from chromosomal defects. The tests are—Nuchal Translucency (NT) Scan, Non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) and 12-week ultrasound.
Risk Calculation
The individual risk of chromosomal defect is calculated by taking into account background risk and series of other factors. These other factors include age, living environment, medical conditions, etc.
3D and 4D Scan
3D and 4D scans show the picture of your baby in three and four dimensions, respectively and are better than 2D scans. 3D images show the still images of the baby whereas 4D images show the moving images of the fetus.
Infertility scan
Possible causes of infertility are discussed with the couple initially and depending on those cause ultrasound scans are suggested. Infertility scans include Ovulation study, and uterine anomaly scan.
Non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT)
It is a screening test carried out to determine whether your child is at risk of developing any chromosomal defect. The detection rate of Down syndrome has increased to 99.6% due to this technique.
Fetal therapy
It is a therapy carried out for treating or correcting a fetal anomaly. In such cases, fetus is at risk of intrauterine death from abnormality. Fetal therapy includes intrauterine transfusion, arrhythmias, and goiter.
Fetal Reduction
It is the practice of reducing the number of fetuses in a multifetal pregnancy such as triplets and quadruplets. A Surgery called multifetal reduction surgery decreases the number of fetuses and increases the chances of healthy pregnancy.
Sonosalpingography
It is also known as Sion test or SSG, and it is carried out to evaluate patency of fallopian tubes through transvaginal ultrasound scanning. It is a screening procedure for infertility investigations done using sterile saline.
Gynaec scan
Gynaecological Ultrasound scans examines female pelvis and determines any kind of pelvic disorders in women. Transvaginal scans are preferable in this scan. Gynaec scan include fibroid mapping, Ectopic, Ca ovary, Ca uterus.
Fetal autopsy
Fetal autopsy determine gestational age, detect congenital aberrations, the cause of death and potential recurrence risk. Pathology encountered at autopsy are amniotic infection sequence, oligohydramnios, growth restriction, protozoal infection, etc.
